Petroglyph National Monument

Petroglyph National Monument offers two ways for kids to become a Junior Ranger. If visiting the Monument a Junior Ranger book can be picked up at the Visitor Center. Upon completing a number of activities you will be awarded a Junior Ranger badge and certificate. Also, kids not able to visit the monument can become a Junior Web Ranger.

Visiting the Monument

While visiting the monument Children in grades K-6 can learn more about Petroglyph National Monument by completing the Junior Ranger booklet. Children show their completed booklet to a park ranger and are presented with a Junior Ranger Badge and certificate.

Web Interactive

Kids not able to visit the monument can become a Junior Web Ranger. By completing the web interactive program kids will earn the title of Petroglyph Web Rangers and receive a badge and certificate. This program is great for teachers to use to help students learn more about Petroglyph National Monument. To begin the progam click on the Web Ranger Program link to the right.
